Step Off The Millennial Bashing Bandwagon

The broad trend to treat millennials as posing special challenges is misguided. Problematizing an entire generation is self-defeating: it destroys value and impairs competitiveness. The most important part of leading millennials is “leading well” – beginning with the board and extending across leaders at every level, down to every team member. Firms that resist the temptation to jump on the millennial bashing bandwagon, and instead focus their limited resources on effective management and the basics of sound leadership for the entire organization will be rewarded.   Not only will millennials contribute at levels on par with generations that preceded them, the performance of the entire organization will improve.
